about us
Formed in 2004, Terminus Projects is an independent organisation based in Sydney Australia, that initiates site-specific art projects. We provide a platform that encourages dialogue with diverse audiences through projects that are critically engaged, innovative and stimulating. A 'terminus' is a paradox and can imply both an ending, an interval and a beginning of a journey; hence we commission artworks, performances, seminars, publications and events which reflect on the experiences that transform our perception of time, space and place.

our mission is to:

*Revitalise artistic and public engagement with the dissemination of place and site

*Reinvigorate and broaden the artistic community and public's awareness of contemporary arts, with consideration to cultural, sociological, political and historical phenomena

*Pioneer innovative and alternative sites for presenting contemporary works and ideas

*Provide conceptual, technical and financial advice to assist with the realisation of submitted proposals for site-specific art works

*Liaise between dispersed arts communities and corporate, federal and philanthropic funding bodies.

*Instigate collaborations and exchange between practitioners, academics, and local communities on a national and international level

*Promote cultural practitioners internationally via our website, publications, newsletters, events, and participation in seminars and festivals

*Create a dynamic platform for new and existing audiences to interact with cultural and artistic practice
